N. Lee S. Price – Leader, Adviser, Consultant, Speaker

Major General (Retired) Price founded her own business after over 38 years in the U.S. Army. When she first joined the Army in 1975, less than 2% of the workforce was female and the military academies and the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) had not yet opened to women. Although already a college graduate, she enlisted in the Army as a Private First Class clerk typist, earned her way up through the ranks, and retired over 38 years later as a Major General. She broke many barriers for women during her service. Her experience provides her a rich foundation for speaking and training about Diversity and Inclusion. She attributes her accomplishments to learning to Lead Like A Warrior, courageously applying Army techniques to solve problems and to ensure mission success while building future leaders to do the same.

When General Price retired from active duty in April 2014, only seven women had achieved higher rank in the Army. Among her many “firsts,” General Price became the first female to serve as an Army Program Executive Officer. In this role she directed an annual budget of $4-6 Billion with a 2,000 person workforce. Her projects included the Army’s #1 priority for modernization – upgrading the global, Army-wide tactical communications and networked computer applications – those communications and cyber systems used in hostile environments by our Nation’s deployed forces.
